Choosing a final resting place is an important decision. At O’ahu Cemetery & Crematory, we have a variety of burial options, including individual and family lots. We also offer permanent placement of the ashes for families who choose cremation. And with our professionally managed perpetual care fund, you can be confident that our beautifully landscaped grounds will be well maintained.
Established in 1906, our crematory was the first public crematory in the Hawaiian islands. From that time forward, our cremation experts have brought compassion and experience to all our affordable cremation services. When you trust us for your cremation needs, you can be certain your loved one never leaves our care.
When you choose cremation with O’ahu Mortuary, you can also consider using O'ahu Cemetery and memorialize your loved one in a beautiful glass cremation niche or on our peaceful grounds. Our tranquil columbarium makes an elegant final resting place for you or your loved one. Soft lighting and contemporary design elements create a soothing environment to which future generations can return for years to come.
Our chapel was designed by renowned architect Oliver G. Traphagen. In 1901, Traphagen designed the first hotel on Waikiki Beach, the Moana, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Just 5 years later, in 1906, Traphagen designed the chapel at O’ahu Cemetery.
Whether you choose burial or cremation, you can hold a personalized memorial service in our historic chapel, which seats up to 150 guests. The lanai makes a beautiful outdoor reception area for up to 75 guests. Gathering here with family and friends is a wonderful way to reflect, respect and remember.
