In 1937, Shigeichi and Yukie Nakamoto had one vision: To share the highest quality flowers with Hawai‘i. Driven by a desire to make people smile, the couple opened Beretania Florist on Nov. 19, 1937, in Honolulu.
Eighty years later, their vision for a happy and beautiful community lives on through one simple gesture: the gift of a flower.
Today, Beretania Florist continues to thrive, and currently is owned and operated by Celeste Nakamoto Farinas — Shigeichi and Yukie's granddaughter. The company's beautiful floral designs and strict flower quality values has led to numerous recognition, including being voted Hawai‘i's Best and Japanese Chamber of Commerce's Generational Award.
